Koyanagi is a storied hotel where members of the imperial family once stayed. The seventh-floor room used to be a special room for such occasions, and we have carried on this tradition and renovated it into a new suite. In addition to the bedroom, there is a Japanese-style room with a wooden deck outside the window. The luxurious furniture is by Danish master designer Finn Juhl. This room is perfect for couples and families. You can add an extra bed as well as futons in the Japanese-style room to accommodate up to six guests.

This one-room suite is featured by an open space with no partitions. A large desk spans the living area and bedroom. The primary interior materials are solid black walnut and diatomite. Light comes in through windows from two direction in daytime, and the atmosphere changes completely at night to one of calmness. The six-floor room has an unobstructed view, and you can bask in the sunlight on the wooden deck outside the large window.

A junior suite with a tatami main bedroom and a carpeted second living room. The fixtures use precious solid woods like Japanese cedar and zelkova, and the walls are finished with white diatomite. The southern end of the room is equipped with shoji screens that allow soft light to stream in during the day, creating a bright atmosphere. One unique feature of the room is the study nook with a tea-ceremony room-inspired entrance, perfect for reading and work.

A south-facing room overlooking the garden below. The spacious tatami mat floor is ideal for a group or family with small children. The beds can be arranged in the Hollywood Twin style which provides 240cm width, so guests with young children can sleep together. An extra bed can be added next to the twin beds. The living room features two NyChairs, one of Japan's most well-known easy chairs, designed by Japanese designer Takeshi Nii.

A compact room with a working table. Unlike the other rooms, the interior of this room is black, making for a quiet, low-lit space. As the living space is limited, we recommend lounging around using 240 cm of bed space as if they were sofas. The toilet and bath area is spacious, with a wash basin and separate shower area, with an open-air bath just outside. This room is not suitable for guests who do not like dim lighting.

A bright room with a working table and a bookshelf. The walls are diatomite and the floors are either tatami or wood panels. The tatami rooms feature the timeless ‘Margareta’ designed by Bruno Mathsson, while the wood-floored rooms have two of the either UNI-rest chairs by Kai Kristiansen or Modus chairs by Kristian Vedel. Baby cribs and Baby/Kid Friendly Set are available upon request.

A simple room with a 160cm-wide bed for a single or double use. The base tone is white and the walls are finished with diatomite. The room is softly lit since it primarily employs indirect lighting. If you are a group of more than two rooms, we recommend the other members to stay in one of the other rooms on the same floor (the Garden Twin, the Large Garden Twin, or the Comfort Twin), so you can enjoy your stay together.

Both the toilet and wash basin area are large enough to allow a wheelchair to turn around. By using an electric-assisted rail lift suspended from the ceiling of the open-air bath, in combination with a bathing wheelchair, guests using wheelchairs may also bathe in the open-air bath.
